Busan is located in the south-eastern tip of the Korean Peninsula and is the second largest city in South Korea. This coastal hot spot is a 'must visit' on your South Korean adventure, as there is so much to do and see in Busan.
Earlier last year, I spent several days exploring Busan on a 10 day trip visiting South Korea, you can read the itinerary here: 10 Days in South Korea: The Perfect Travel Itinerary for Solo Travellers.

Visit Gamcheon Culture Village
If you ever look up Busan online, this will be one of the first images that is shown - Gamcheon Cultural Village. This colourful hillside village is filled with colourful murals and stairways, art installations, quirky cafes and so much more. There are so many great photo spots and view points along the way, so make sure you've got your camera ready.
Local people do live here, so please be mindful and respectful when taking photos.

Relax at Haeundae Beach
Busan's most famous beach, Haeundae. This gorgeous spot is great to walk along the coastline, to swim and enjoy the ocean views. There are lots of cafes and restaurants long the beach walking path, so be sure to check them out.

Ride the Sky Capsule at Haeundae Blue Line Park
Have you ever seen photo's of those cute sky capsules in Busan, overlooking the ocean? This is such a gorgeous way to see the coastline, even better because you'll have your own little pod. Tickets for the sky capsules sell out quickly and have to be pre-booked online days prior, or test your luck and see if there is any available at the ticket office. The sky capsules are from Mipo to Cheongsapo, you can either purchase one way or return tickets. Alternatively, if you miss out on the sky capsule tickets you can ride the beach train which goes further along the line.

Visit Haedong Yonggungsa
Haedong Yonggungsa is one of the most picturesque Buddhist temples in Busan. This temple sits on the seaside, overlooking the coast. It is located around an hour out of central Busan, you can get here via public transport or catch an uber. I'd recommend starting your day here if you plan to visit, as it does get quite busy.

Walk the Songdo Skywalk
This glass-floored walkway extends over the ocean for the most epic coastal views. This is the bottom stop of the Busan Air Cruise. It is especially pretty at sunset and has brilliant views around, from the coast, to Songdo and the cable cars.

Ride the Busan Air Cruise
We LOVE a cable car ride, this is an epic experience to view the coastline and sea views in Busan. The air cruise is located in Songdo and the best part is even if you're travelling solo, you'll get the whole cable car to yourself to enjoy the views.
My hot tip is to do this around sunset, the sunlight hitting the ocean at this time is absolutely magical.

Walk along Haeundae Blue Line Park
This is one of the most iconic scenic coastal walks you can do in Busan, you can purchase a one way ticket for the beach train, to Songjeong (end of the blue line park) and walk along the coastal path. The path stretches 4.8km and is the perfect way to spend an afternoon with pretty views.

Explore BIFF Square
BIFF Square is the centre of Busan's film culture and street food scene. At night, BIFF Square comes to life, there are many street food markets selling the most delicious Korean food and desserts (and it's super cheap too).

Walk along Dongbaekseom Island's Coastal Walking Trail
Located on the southern end of Haeundae's beach, this coastal walk has the prettiest scenic views and is quite serene. It is a peaceful walk, overlooking the ocean, then to be greeted with ending views of Gwangan Bridge.
